The United Nations has expressed shock after a man drove a car into a Christmas market in the central German city of Magdeburg on Friday. “We are shocked by the news of the attack today in Magdeburg, Germany,” UN spokesman Stéphane Dujarric said in a statement. “We extend our condolences to the families of the victims as well as the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Germany.
