1. Warning on Russian Hackers Targeting Encrypted Apps**
The FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued a joint public service announcement warning that Russian-linked phishing campaigns are successfully targeting Signal and WhatsApp accounts. Rather than breaking end-to-end encryption, hackers bypass it by stealing access to individual accounts using fake support messages. The advisory notes that thousands of global accounts have already been compromised.#### **2. 1988 Armored Car Heist Fugitive Identified**
The FBI Laboratory’s Latent Prints Unit successfully closed a nearly four-decade-old cold case by identifying John Anthony Quinn. Quinn was wanted for allegedly stealing $1.3 million from a Federal Protection Service vault in Florida in April 1988. He lived under multiple aliases and evaded capture, eventually dying of natural causes in December 2025 in North Carolina under the name “Jim Klein.”#### **3. Scrutiny Over Counterterrorism Personnel Changes**
The bureau is facing public and media scrutiny following reports that a number of seasoned counterterrorism agents were fired just days before the recent onset of the U.S. military conflict with Iran. Former FBI officials have been actively weighing in on the timing and potential national security impact of these sudden personnel shifts.#### **4. FBI National Academy Graduations**
Local law enforcement leaders from across the country, including cohorts from San Diego and Sacramento, completed the FBI National Academy’s Session 297. The rigorous 10-week program held in Quantico, Virginia, trains a select group of the country’s law enforcement officers, focusing on advanced leadership, intelligence sharing, and physical fitness.—
Would you like me to go into more detail on the cybersecurity advisory regarding Signal and WhatsApp, or would you prefer more information on how they cracked the 1988 cold case?

In my very humble opinion as an outsider and non-security professional observer, the issues related to Mr. Mueller’s tenure and his strategic thinking
(GS: google.com/search?num=10&new…)
are no less than fundamental, with all the sincere respect to his outstanding abilities as the lawyer and the investigator. I will highlight three of these questionable issues:
1. The FBI’s ability to assess adequately the depth and scope of the Russian (“Red”, Jewish, etc.) Mafia’s (TOC) penetration of the American society’s “ways and means” prior to 9/11.
2. Questionable results of the 9/11 Investigation, which still continues.
3. Questionable results of the Election 2016 Investigation, with its emphasis on “Russia, Russia, Russia!” and insufficient attention to the other players, most importantly Mossad, Israel, and Netanyahu, whose activity was confirmed by the FBI declassified files later.
