Plantronics releases Conch One earbuds with detachable microphone for better audio control

Plantronics Launches Conch One USB-C Earbuds for Content Creators

On September 24, 2025, Plantronics unveiled the Conch One, a pair of USB-C earbuds designed for content creators. These earbuds feature a microphone attached via a short cable, distancing themselves from traditional models that integrate microphones within inline remotes, reports 24brussels.

The Conch One earbuds are priced at ₹1,999 (approximately $23) and are currently available exclusively through the company’s website and Amazon India. They are equipped with 14.2mm drivers that are expected to deliver substantial sound quality. The inline remote includes essential controls for volume and playback, as well as a microphone button and a mode button that toggles between four listening mode EQ settings and a karaoke mode featuring eight distinct settings.

As the trend towards lightweight wireless microphones grows, many content creators still prefer handheld options for greater flexibility. These earbuds may provide a cost-effective and convenient alternative to traditional wireless microphones, allowing creators to maintain high audio quality without excessive cables. However, concerns remain about the usability of the Conch One’s mic, which may hang too low for effective hands-free operation when not in use.

This release coincides with a broader resurgence of wired headphones among consumers, reflecting a shift in preferences amidst growing saturation in the wireless market. As tech companies adapt to these evolving demands, the Conch One stands as a notable entry into the competitive audio accessory market, aimed directly at the needs of today’s digital creators.
