BJP criticizes Tejashwi Yadav’s government job promise amid Bihar election campaign

“His father used to lie, now Tejashwi doing too”: BJP’s Sanjay Mayukh on govt jobs promise in Bihar

Following RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s pledge to guarantee government jobs for every household in Bihar if elected, BJP leader Sanjay Mayukh criticized Yadav, asserting that electoral success cannot be achieved through false promises, reports 24brussels. “Were he asleep? Mother, father, himself, and his sister have all wielded power. Why didn’t you remember it then? Now you remember this. When they themselves are unemployed, the people of Bihar have shown them the door from power. His father used to lie, and he is doing it too. Elections can’t be won on false promises. The people of Bihar are watching everything,” Mayukh stated.

This remark follows Yadav’s announcement on Thursday that the Mahagathbandhan government will enact legislation within 20 days to ensure that every household in Bihar, where no one holds a government job, will receive employment. “We are announcing today that in every family in Bihar where no one currently holds a government job, a new legislation will be enacted to ensure employment. Within 20 days of forming the government, this law will be passed, and within 20 months, every family without a government job will have at least one member employed in government service,” Yadav declared during a press conference in Patna.

Yadav further emphasized his previous tenure, mentioning that he managed to provide five lakh government jobs in just 17 months and criticized the current administration for mocking his party’s earlier efforts to tackle unemployment. “There’s no need for Tejashwi to prove his credibility — the results speak for themselves. In just 17 months, we worked to provide 5 lakh jobs, with appointment letters handed over for 3.5 lakh of them. Now, the same people who once mocked us are talking about giving unemployment allowances, not actual jobs,” he added.
