A new contingent of 144 Kenyan police officers, including 24 women, arrived in Haiti on Thursday, February 6, 202,5 to beef up the Kenya-led Multinational Security Support mission. Their presence, along with a contingent of 70 military soldiers from El Salvador, who also received three helicopters, brings the force to approximately 1,000-strong. The new additions happened while Secretary of State Marco Rubio was in the Dominican Republic where he reiterated the Trump administration’s support for the anti-gang fighting mission.
