Democrats have held onto the Senate despite the ridiculous runoff result in Georgia. Herschel walker is obviously not qualified, yet Republicans tried their best to hand him a victory. 95% of Georgia Republicans voted for Walker, which included 70% of the white vote. It is obvious that their vote has nothing to do with who will best serve Georgia. Black conservative talk show host Shelley Wynter claims the runoff as a victory, NBC News reported, claiming that the runoff meant something because “Herschel’s not a white guy.” What a ridiculous copout. Herschel might as well be white, and he was the next best thing in this race, so he got their vote. Sit down somewhere, Shelley Wynter, and try to remember where you came from. While Democrats no longer need Warnock to win, it will be in the country’s and state’s best interest if he does.

Should Warnock prevail in Georgia, Vice President Harris will no longer need to serve as tie breaker, as Democrats would hold a 51 to 49 majority. So much for the “red wave” and so much for Donald Trump. His presence in the midterm elections was almost nonexistent, and in some cases, he was a detriment-but not for the Democrats. They benefitted mightily from the fact that many have tired of him. The Warnock/Walker issue doesn’t have as much to do with Trump as it has to do with voters in Georgia who just don’t get it. Walker is not qualified, yet the vast majority of Republicans voted for him. They don’t care that’s he a puppet and brings absolutely nothing to the table. What matters to them is defeating Warnock. Dee Thompson, a nail tech in Southwest Atlanta, said it best: “I just don’t see how even Republicans can say they care about Georgia and vote for him.” They don’t care about Georgia; Republicans merely care about winning. Brian Kemp being reelected is understandable because he did some things that Republicans can and will continue to get behind. Walker has done nothing but look like an idiot, which makes those who voted for him likewise look like idiots, though those in power in Georgia think the rest of us are idiots. Marc Elias is already threatening to sue according to, of all sources, Washington Examiner.

According to Elias, the GOP is “desperate to suppress the vote” by publishing untrue numbers about early voting for the Warnock/Walker runoff. Apparently, the GOP has said that there will be no early voting on Saturday, November 26 (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) because “it’s a holiday.” No, Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 24. November 26 is merely the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger claims that they have “closely examined the law” and that November 26 is considered a holiday. Marc Elias may well sue, but any ruling won’t happen in time to impact early voting. Don’t wait to find out. Check and recheck dates shown as open and go on one of those dates. Don’t let anyone or anything deter you from exercising your right to vote-especially if it keeps Herschel Walker out of the senate.
