The TRIPP Corridor: A key component of this shift is the TRIPP (Trans-Regional Infrastructure Peace Project), a 42-kilometer rail and road corridor through Armenian territory.
Brokered by Trump: The project was brokered as part of the August 2025 White House peace declaration between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Role in the South Caucasus: TRIPP serves as a vital “South Corridor” link, connecting China and Central Asia to Europe via Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, and Turkey, effectively bypassing both Russian and Iranian territory.
Implementation: On April 23, 2026, the U.S. and Azerbaijan began the formal rollout of TRIPP infrastructure projects to secure this alternative trade route. [1, 17]
