In my “crazy” opinion, this latest Louisiana shooting may be the response that my dear imaginary friend Mr. Elkind provided to my questions:
Are these two things indeed related?

Do not confuse Mr. Elkind with Mr. Elkins, of the Pinetree variety: they are the distinct entities, although possibly related, something like the author and his creation, so to speak.

“No, ziz iz not az!”, screams Mr. Elkind.
“It is the Baton Rouge!”
My interpretation of this response:
“It is the Red Stick! It’s the Russkies!”

I doubt it, although this type of the mutual protective masking, the “Maskirovka”, became quite popular with both services.

I ztill zink zat you deserve the credits for both shows, my dear imaginary friend Mr. Elkind!

Und what does our dear and hopefully very real and not “imaginary” FBI “zink about ziz”?
