This cooperation extends to defense industry procurement and technology transfer, with Azerbaijan purchasing JF-17C Block III fighter jets from Pakistan and participating in the development of Turkey’s fifth-generation Kaan fighter jet program.
Economic and Connectivity Projects: Leaders are focused on enhancing trade and leveraging their geographical locations for regional  connectivity. Trade and Investment: Azerbaijan has invested heavily in Turkey, and plans are underway for substantial Azerbaijani investment in Pakistan’s economy. The countries aim to significantly increase their trilateral trade volume.
Transport Corridors: They are exploring cooperation on major transport routes, including the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route) and the North-South Transport Corridor, to boost trade linking China, Central Asia, and Europe.

Institutionalization: The leaders agreed to elevate their cooperation to the heads-of-state level during a summit in Lachin, Azerbaijan, in May 2025, with a plan to institutionalize this format through regular meetings and concrete action plans across various sectors, including counter-terrorism.

The alliance is seen as a counterweight to other regional partnerships, notably an emerging India-Iran-Armenia alignment. The “three brothers” format strengthens their collective position in the South Caucasus and South Asia, aiming to create an independent power axis in Eurasia.
