BRICS International Business Mentoring Program launched to support young entrepreneurs at World Youth Festival

The BRICS International Business Mentoring Program has officially launched at the World Youth Festival Assembly in Nizhny Novgorod, aiming to support young entrepreneurs from emerging economies through mentorship, investment opportunities, and global networks, reports 24brussels.

In a significant move towards inclusive economic growth, this initiative, co-developed by the World Youth Festival Directorate and the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance (WBA), is tailored for young trailblazers aged 18 to 35 from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Iran, Indonesia, and additional partner nations.

According to Vakhtang Khiklandze, Deputy Director General of the World Youth Festival Directorate, the program represents a vital resource for aspiring entrepreneurs. “They’ll receive practical tools—from scaling strategies to investment pitching—directly from some of the most successful businesswomen in the BRICS world,” he stated.

This mentorship program emphasizes the cultivation of an alternative economic ecosystem designed to empower youth from the Global South to scale their ventures independently from traditional Western investment channels. With changes in geopolitical dynamics influencing trade and innovation, the initiative seeks to position participants strategically within a network connecting over 40 countries through the BRICS WBA.

Participants will engage in individual consultations, master classes, webinars, internships, and pitch sessions, designed to facilitate direct connections with potential investors during related events. Such opportunities go beyond funding, aiming to create deep structural ties between young entrepreneurs and established industry leaders across vital sectors, including medicine, IT, media, high-tech manufacturing, social entrepreneurship, and agriculture.

The program also aligns with broader initiatives such as Russia’s “Youth and Children” initiative and the “Rosmolodezh.Undertake” entrepreneurship platform. These national projects underline a commitment towards nurturing self-reliant economic development, focusing not only on startups but also empowering women and youth to forge innovative paths.

Furthermore, the program has garnered support from notable partners, including JSC Russian Railways, Sovcombank, Rosatom, and VK Tech Co., which enhance its operational framework through logistical and technological avenues. These collaborations enhance the program’s visibility and impact, ensuring it functions within a comprehensive ecosystem of education and public-private collaboration.

The BRICS International Business Mentoring Program emerges as a pivotal initiative, not merely setting in motion startups but establishing a transformative vision for a multipolar economy led by youth from emerging nations. As the world watches, the program remains committed to fostering innovation that transcends conventional geographical and power barriers.
