Logitech launches Pro X2 Superstrike mouse featuring haptic feedback and rapid trigger technology

Logitech Unveils Next-Gen Wireless Gaming Mouse

Logitech has announced its upcoming flagship wireless gaming mouse, the Pro X2 Superstrike, designed with an innovative analog system that replaces traditional mechanical switches with haptic actuators to simulate click feedback. The mouse is set to launch early next year at a price of $179.99, reports 24brussels.

The new Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS) features a mere 0.6mm travel for its main buttons, allowing players to click faster with significantly reduced latency—Logitech claims that latency improvements can reach up to 30 milliseconds. It comes equipped with ten customizable actuation points and rapid trigger support, enhancing the responsiveness for competitive gaming.

Rapid trigger technology, previously seen in gaming keyboards, is now integrated into the Pro X2 Superstrike. This system enables the sensor to reset with minimal pressure, permitting users to execute quick inputs more efficiently than traditional mice. Gamers can configure five rapid trigger reset points using Logitech’s G Hub software, providing precise control over input timing.

The mouse weighs 65 grams and utilizes Logitech’s Hero 2 sensor, which is standard across its current Pro X wireless gaming product line. It supports an 8,000Hz polling rate wirelessly via its bundled Lightspeed USB-A dongle, although access to this feature requires the G Hub application. Despite skepticism regarding the necessity of such high polling rates given average reaction times, the potential benefits when paired with the rapid trigger function remain intriguing.

Additionally, Logitech will introduce the Superlight 2C, a more compact version of the Superlight 2 mouse. This model is 10% lighter at 51 grams and 5% smaller, appealing to gamers with smaller hands. The specifications of the Superlight 2C mirror those of its larger counterpart. It will be available on October 21st for $159.99.
