Hasselt – The 40th edition of Pukkelpop will commence on August 14, 2025, in Hasselt, leading to the closure of Kempische Steenweg for four days and restrictions on Tulpinstraat. Free shuttles and night buses will be available, with detours via Corda Campus and Ranonkelstraat advised by Dorien Bans, reports 24brussels.
As VRT News reported, the festival is expected to attract thousands of attendees, prompting the city to implement special traffic regulations. From August 13th to 14th, Kempische Steenweg will be closed to all motorized traffic overnight, restricting access for residents and their vehicles.
Access to nearby streets is also regulated, with entry limited to those possessing specific permits and parking passes. Vehicles lacking the required documentation will be barred from these zones.

Tulpinstraat will remain closed to all traffic until August 27th, 2025, encompassing both the festival duration and subsequent site dismantling. The city emphasizes that these measures are essential for maintaining safety and managing the influx of visitors to one of Belgium’s largest music events.
Festival-goers will benefit from complimentary shuttle and night bus services provided by De Lijn, connecting Hasselt train station with the festival grounds. Additionally, a network of night buses will service nearly all municipalities in Limburg.

Motorists are encouraged to adhere to the detours and consult the complete mobility plan available on the Hasselt website. This plan includes detailed maps, schedules, and guidance for public transport users and drivers, ensuring safety during the event.
