Homeland security and FBI officials met with New Jersey state lawmakers Wednesday amid an ongoing federal investigation into weeks of unexplained drone sightings across the state, which have prompted heightened security concerns from residents, military personnel and state officials.

At a closed-door briefing about the drones Wednesday, lawmakers were told that investigators have been unable to electronically detect the drones.
The drones have been seen above critical infrastructure like reservoirs, rail stations and military bases. The governor says there is “no known threat,” but the FBI is still investigating.
